The American Legion announces scholarships

NORWICH – Since 1919 The American Legion organization has advocated for our military, for our veterans and for a strong America. One of its pillars of service is mentoring youth. The American Legion prides itself on sponsoring opportunities for youth to excel, develop skills, experience team work, and grow as leaders. One of these opportunities is through the awarding of scholarships.

With that, the American Legion, Lt Warren E. Eaton, DSC Post 189 is proud to announce the recipients of three scholarship awards to Sydney Chaffee, Hannah Watts, and Joshua Haines.

Additionally, the American Legion Auxiliary – the women’s arm of the fraternal order – is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. The Auxiliary embodies the spirit of America that has prevailed through war and peace.
