Feds confiscate computer, records from Senator Libous’ home

ALBANY – The Binghamton residence of State Senator Tom Libous and his wife, Frances, was raided by several FBI agents who confiscated records and a computer belonging to Frances Libous last Friday, according to media sources in Albany.

The Times Union reported on Tuesday that items seized are part of a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the state Attorney General’s Office. Frances Libous is the vice chairperson for the Workers Compensation Board and is currently serving a term that expires in 2017.

The FBI and Attorney General’s Office declined comment, the report says.
