Milford Academy off to 2-0 start

NEW BERLIN – The Milford Academy Falcons opened the 2014 football season with back-to-back wins over Hudson Valley Community College (28-27) and Massachusetts Maritime Academy (56-13).
Quarterback Jake Dolegala’s 363 passing yards and three TDs helped the Falcons overcome a 20-point deficit at the half to beat Hudson Valley with Dolegala’s 28-yard TD strike to wide receiver K.J. Williams in the last twenty seconds of the game the game-winner. Linebacker Sidney Gopre had seven tackles and 211/2 sacks to lead the Falcon defense.
In the win over Mass Maritime, fullback Darius Meadors scored two touchdowns and running back Marquis Young had a 64-yard touchdown run to lead the Falcons on offens,e while interceptions from cornerback Devon Brewer (TD), defensive tackle Kenny Randall and linebacker Kahzin Daniels led the Falcon defense.
