Norwich golfers fall to Chenango Valley

HARPURSVILLE – Norwich's record fell to 2-4 on the season losing to Chenango Valley Wednesday at Belden Hill Golf Club.
Tornado junior Ryan Johnson earned overall medalist honors shooting a one-over-par 37 over the front nine. Only two other Tornado players brought 50, though.
Joe Mioduszewski and Nate Scheer turned in matching 43s in the Tornado's loss.
All five CV players shot 44 or better led by Devin Bucklin's 38.

S-E runs in five-way meet
WEST CANADA – In a five-way Center State Conference meet Wednesday, Sherburne-Earlville's boys and girls each scored one win apiece in dual meet scoring.
The boys upended Poland, 24-32, while the girls earned a victory over an incomplete WCV club.
Marauders senior Ian Benedict led his club and was second overall amongst all boys completing the five-kilometer course in 19:05.
Among the S-E girls, Miranda Wright ran a team-best 27:25.
"I was really happy with our results, and the kids' times - who ran last year - improved anywhere from 30 seconds to two minutes," said S-E coach Anne Geary. "To start the season with that much improvement, it's exciting."
The Marauders compete at the V-V-S Invitational on Saturday.
