NORWICH – The First Baptist Church in Norwich will host a special reception and church ceremony this weekend to welcome Rev. Dr. Roy Medley, General Secretary of the American Baptist Churches USA.

As the national head of the American Baptist Church USA, Dr. Medley will be greeted with a dinner at the First Baptist Church on Saturday and present the week’s message from the curch podium on Sunday.

“A visit from Dr. Medley to a church such as ours is a great honor as Dr. Medley has a worldwide reputation for mission, ministry and consensus building in Baptist, ecumenical, and interfaith communities,” said Pastor Dave Spiegel of the First Baptist Church of Norwich.
