Bainbridge-Guilford 3, Sidney 1
BAINBRIDGE – Coming off an emotional overtime win over Greene, Bainbridge-Guilford scored two early second-half goals to dispatch Sidney Friday.
Jake Cuozzo tallied three minutes into the second session off a Zach Smith pass, and Adam Bauerle had the eventual winning goal six minutes later. Trevor Halaquist added an insurance goal for B-G (6-0), and Smith finished with two assists.
The Bobcats play at Walton Tuesday.

Schenevus 5, G-MU 2
COPES CORNERS – Schenevus flipped the tenor of the game erasing a one-goal deficit with five second-half goals in Friday’s road win over G-MU.
Jacob Darling had four second-half goals for the Dragons tying the game at 36:40.
After Trevor Puerile gave G-MU it’s last lead nine minutes later, Darling had the tying goal at 22:31, and Dominick Harris put Schenevus ahead for good with 14:22 remaining.
G-MU took a one-goal lead into halftime on the strength of Matt Ward’s goal.
“It was hard played by both teams, and our kids just got tired and ran out of steam,” said G-MU coach Steve Antczak.

NORWICH – Norwich completed a perfect week of play defeating Afton Friday at Alumni Field.
After a closely contested first half, Norwich opened up its advantage with three second-half goals. Chris Trevisani scored three times for his second hat trick of the season. Pablo Rojas added the other tally, and senior Killian Benedict was credited with a pair of assists.
“We’re continuing to improve, and we pulled it together in the second half,” said Norwich coach Scottie Decker.
Norwich hosts Sidney today.

Otselic Valley 6, Moravia 2
SOUTH OTSELIC – Otselic Valley clamped down on defense in the second half, and dominated the play scoring four unanswered goals in a win over Moravia Friday.
Jason Olin assisted Austin Reynolds and Matt Neal on the first two goals of the second half, and Olin scored his second goal of the game when one-timed a volley over the keeper.
"I changed up the positions, and it turned out to be our best team play yet," said OV coach Jacob Preston. "We played with some fire going harder to the ball, and were more physical."
Preston said that Olin, Neal, and Tim Reichard stepped up to make great passes, defensive stops, while also finishing goals."
Neal had two goals in the game, and Brandon Thornton came off the bench to score the last goal getting a pass from fellow reserve Matt Collins.
The Vikings (3-1) host DeRuyter Wednesday.

OXFORD – Walton scored all five of its goals in the first half to defeat Oxford on Friday.
Jared Beach and Tyler Rubera had two goals apiece, and Beach assisted on each of Rubera’s tallies. “It was pretty even the first 10 minutes, but Walton picked it up and had some nice goals,” said Oxford coach Matt Dorman. “Their shots were right on the money, and there was nothing our goalie could do.”

AFTON – After nearly 50 minutes of scoreless play, Afton broke a tie with Greene scoring the sudden-victory tally to knock off the Trojans.
Shakari Koss tallied for the Crimson Knights, who managed just four shots on goal against Greene.

Girls’ Swimming

Norwich 106, Susquehanna Valley 75
CONKLIN – Norwich won every swimming event, 11 of 12 overall, beating Susquehanna Valley on the road Friday night.
Lexi Laundry, Danika Tworkowsky, and Maya Blaisure won two individual events each for Norwich, and Tworkowsky along with Blaisure were also on two of the three winning relays giving them four total wins on the night.
Mary Beth Ward came up with a victory in the 100 butterfly, and Lauren Llewellyn won the 100 backstroke. Llewellyn totaled three victories for the meet.

GREENE – Greene broke into the win column beating an undermanned Whitney Point club Friday.
Several Greene swimmers earned their first varsity wins, said Greene coach Mike Platta. Stephanie Zelsnack won the 50 freestyle for her initial win of the season. Ashley Beebe, Katie Delgado, and Claire Nolan also captured individual events.
“It was a fun meet, and we had a number of different events where we had good time drops,” Platta said. “It’s nice to see the development, and the girls are gaining confidence.”
Greene improved its record to 1-3 overall.

Girls’ Soccer

Unadilla Valley 3, Walton 0
NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley stretched its perfect mark to 8-0 blanking Walton Saturday.
Julia Oglesby scored the lone first-half goal for the Storm, unassisted at the 31:47 mark. Hunter Lakin tallied just 1 1/2 minutes into the second half, and Sierra Badger added an additional insurance goal midway through the second half.
“I’m very proud of my team for having an 8-0 season so far, but we have some big games coming up this week,” said UV coach Diane Hayes.
The Storm face perennial league contender Unatego on Wednesday.

SHERBURNE – Clinton’s high-powered offense broke through for two second-half goals in a victory over Sherburne-Earlville Friday.
“They’re very good, but we played well,” said S-E coach Kylie Davis. “The whole first half, I think they were caught off guard.”
The majority of Clinton’s 16 shots came in the second half, and Davis said two of the three goals given up would normally be considered “soft goals.”
“We handled them pretty well in the first half, but if you make even a small mistake, they’re the type of team that will take advantage and turn it into a goal,” Davis said.
The Marauders play at V-V-S. Tuesday.

BAINBRIDGE – After dropping a close opening set to Walton, Bainbridge-Guilford rebounded to sweep the final three winning its sixth straight match, 24-26, 25-19, 25-20, 25-17 Friday.
Morgan Bullis led B-G with 15 kills, 13 assists, and two blocks. she also served four aces. Cadi Barber and Tierney Decker had big nights at the net as well with eight kills apiece.

NEW BERLIN – Nearly 40 percent of Unadilla Valley’s points came on aces from three players as the Storm beat Oxford in three games Friday, 25-21, 25-8, 25-19.
Nicole Mackey, Blaize Kolvik, and Shannon McIntyre combined for 18 aces with Mackey serving a team-high eight. Lauren Lloyd finished with 6 kills and Kolvik had 10 assists.
Oxford’s Mariah Bullock led her club with five aces.
