BOONVILLE – Sherburne-Earlville jumped out to a 3-0 lead at halftime in a victory over Adirondack Tuesday night.
Morgan Simpson set a new school-record for goals in a game scoring five times for the Marauders – the first five goals.
Simpson tallied three times in the first half with Sierra Barker, Taylor Coughlin, and Savannah Irwin collecting assists.
Coughlin had the final goal with 1:17 left in regulation.
Monday, a strong Unatego club handed S-E a shutout defeat scoring twice in the second half to pull away.

WINDSOR – A day removed from winning overall medalist honors at the Class B Tournament, Windsor's Nate Wrighter shot a 1-under-par 34 leading unbeaten Windsor (14-0) to a victory over Norwich Wednesday at Golden Oak Golf Club.
The Tornado (8-7), who lost their final two matches, still finished with an above-.500 mark, and that came with a lineup whose eldest players were sophomores.
Ryan Johnson shot a 2-over-par 37 to lead NHS, Alex Gage carded a 43, Nate Scheer a 44, Joe Mioduszewski was next at 45, and Kai Scheer came in with a 47.
Norwich’s top three players will compete in the STAC Tournament Oct. 14.

SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville played even-up with Adirondack Wednesday night except for one perfectly placed shot.
Adirondack's Dawson Green connected on a 25-yard shot with 18 minutes left in the game for the game's only scoring.
"It was the healthiest we've been all season, and this was one of those games where it was going back and forth," said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez. "The difference was that we couldn't finish, and we didn't get a lot of good shots off."
The Marauders wrap up their season Friday at Clinton

COPES CORNERS – Dante Cornell had two goals for Edmeston in a comeback victory over G-MU Wednesday.
Mike O'Connor tallied for the Raiders with 18:40 left in the first half, but Cornell knotted the game up just over four minutes later.
Cornell scored 4:13 into the second half with the go-ahead – and winning – goal.

Girls' Swimming

Maine-Endwell 99, Norwich 70
NORWICH – Norwich won the final three events and five of 12 overall, but was no match for the superior depth of Maine-Endwell Wednesday.
The Spartans brought 36 swimmers to the deck of Norwich High School's pool, while the Tornado had 13 swimmers on hand. "We have a strong front line of swimmers, we were just lacking depth, and Maine-Endwell wasn't," said Norwich coach Kevin Diefenbacher.
Maya Blaisure won two events for Norwich, and recorded season-low times in each event. She won the 200 IM in 2:29.57; and the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.04.
Overall, Norwich had 10 personal-best times on the night, its best performance of the season, Diefenbacher said. Melissa Stroh was a winner in the 200 free, Marybeth Ward won the 100 backstroke, and Norwich finished the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle.
Norwich swims at Greene tonight at 6 p.m..

JOHNSON CITY – Norwich used strong serving and dominant play at the net to defeat Johnson City in three games Tuesday, 25-16, 25-23, 25-10.
The Purple Tornado (8-3) were in danger of dropping the second set falling behind 19-13 before rallying to win the set.
Jacasa Currie, Caitlyn Brown, Courtney Scheer, and Vanessa Salerno controlled play with their serves, said NHS head coach Shelly Alger, and Meghan Komendarek, totaled a season-high 17 kills.
Norwich statistics: Caitlyn Brown, 4 aces, 10 assists; Meghan Komendarek, 17 kills, 1 block; Jacasa Currie, 2 aces, 2 kills, 3 digs; Vanessa Salerno, 8 kills; Cassie Birtch, 9 assists; Jessica Dye, 4 assists.
