Lincklaen man allegedly growing marijuana in plain sight

LINCKLAEN — A 48-year-old Lincklaen resident was arrested Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 after authorities said the man had marijuana growing in plain view.
Narcotics Detectives with the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to Millers Corners Road in Lincklaen Friday morning.
A release from the CCSO alleged James A. Kelsey Jr. was growing marijuana in plain sight and an investigation followed.
“The investigation later revealed additional marijuana plant’s on Kelsey’s property,” read the release.
Authorities additionally said approximately one pound of processed marijuana was located within Kelsey’s home.
Kelsey was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the third degree, a class E felony; and unlawfully growing cannabis, a violation of Public Health Law.
Kelsey is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lincklaen Court at a later date.
