Cyclones reach league championships; cheerleaders finish first and second
        NORWICH – The Norwich Cyclones “C” and “B” football teams advanced to the Tri-Valley League championship games with wins Sunday at Alumni Field.  
    
        The “C” Team downed North Utica 41-18 to advance to the league final.  Torin Lawrence got the Cyclones on the board with a 58-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter. Griffin Mills ran for a 55-yard TD in the second, and a three-yard touchdown in the fourth.  Mills also added two, two-point point-after touchdown kicks.
    
        Blaine Orlando had a 20-yard TD in the third, along with a 43-yard TD scamper by Dylan Bresee, also in the third. Jaden Jenkins finished the Norwich scoring with a 45-yard return of a fumble to paydirt.
    
        Timothy Duke, Jenkins, Mills, Lawrence, Mallachi Gaters, Orlando, Mason Edwards, and Harrison Matlack-Grey led the Cyclones defensive charge.
    
        The Cyclone “B” team downed the previously undefeated Oneida Indians, 20-7.
