Town propositions
Lincklaen voters will decide whether to change the highway superintendent’s position from elected to appointed, with a two-year appointment beginning Jan. 1, 2027.
New Berlin has two propositions. The first would replace the elected town clerk with an appointed clerk serving a two-year appointment beginning Jan. 1, 2028. The second would extend the town supervisor’s term from two years to four years, beginning Jan. 1, 2029.
Smithville voters will decide whether to replace the elected town clerk’s position with an appointed position.
Voters should check both sides of their ballots. To cast a write-in vote, the county’s sample ballot instructions say to mark the oval beside the write-in option and clearly print the candidate’s name inside the designated box. Voters who make a mistake can ask a poll worker for a replacement ballot.
