Crouch named to NYS Farm Bureau ‘Circle of Friends’
CHENANGO COUNTY – Assemblyman Clifford W. Crouch (R-Bainbridge) on Wednesday announced he has been named as a member of the New York Farm Bureau’s prestigious 2014 “Circle of Friends” for his support of New York agriculture and the NY and local Farm Bureaus.
“I am always thankful for the opportunity and privilege to be recognized for this distinctive honor,” said Crouch. “As a former dairy farmer, I can personally attest to the importance of New York’s agriculture industry and local family farms. It’s good to see that many families are now branching out and doing part of their grocery shopping at local farms for dairy, produce and other products. Farms are a major driving force and contributor to local economies here in Upstate New York and I will always continue to advocate for and support our family farmers and New York’s agriculture industry.”
The New York Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends legislative award is based upon a member’s voting record on issues of importance to New York’s agriculture, as well as other evidence of legislative support during Legislative Session. Membership is reserved for only those who actively support the farm families of New York and is renewed at the end of each legislative session.
Recently, Crouch has highlighted important programs for new and young farmers, including the New York State Young Farmers Loan Forgiveness Incentive Program and grants that will assist new farmers and promote the continued growth of agri-business across New York State.
