Authorities warn of suspected tainted heroin

OTSEGO COUNTY – Otsego County Sheriff Richard J. Devlin Jr., and Oneonta Police Chief Dennis Nayor are alerting the public to be aware of possible tainted heroin in Otsego County and adjoining areas.
There have been numerous overdoses attributed to heroin distributed in the area in recent days.
Law enforcement is working together and are currently comparing evidence to determine if any similarities exist between these incidences in terms of coposition, brands, or sources of the narcotics.
Anyone with information should contact the Otsego County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Division Tip Line at (607) 547-1690, or the Oneonta Police Detective Division at (607) 432-1111 – press “1” and ask to speak to a detective.
