NHS hosts Saints in matchup of division leaders

NORWICH – Not too long ago, the Norwich-Seton Catholic Central rivalry was among the best in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.

The Purple Tornado have dominated recent iterations winning by double digits the last three meetings, but in tonight's 7:45 p.m. clash, there is a lot more at stake than usual, and the Saints appear much improved over last season.

"I saw them earlier this season in the Greene Tournament, and they are a team that plays with a lot of desire and passion," said Norwich coach Tom Collier. "They were a fun team to watch."

After some early setbacks – including a loss to Chenango Valley in the Greene Tournament finals – Seton Catholic Central has hit it stride picking up wins over Johnson City and Chenango Valley during a six-game winning streak.
