Seton Catholic Central 68, Norwich 46
BINGHAMTON – The Saints, 22-point losers to Norwich a season ago, returned the favor Tuesday evening handing Norwich its first STAC loss of the season.
Seton jumped out to a 15-0 lead in the first quarter as Lexus Levy banged home a three as did Faith Kenville and Ava McCann. “They just seemed to make everything from the tip of the game, and whatever could possibly go wrong, went wrong,” said Norwich coach Josh Bennett.
The host Saints scored 42 points against Norwich in the first half building a 19-point lead. Lauren Miller and Hanna Strawn each scored nine in the first half, and Levy had eight.
Shelby Benjamin scored eight of her 10 points in the final quarter to lead Norwich. “Coaching wise, I just did a horrible job of putting us in the right position to do the job tonight,” Bennett said. “I take a lot of responsibility for what happened tonight, and we will certainly go back to the gym and figure out how we can improve.”
