Woodfords set personal records at ECAC Championships

BOSTON – The Cornell women's track and field finished up the indoor portion of the 2015 track campaign with a strong ninth-place team finish at the ECAC Championships at Boston University last Saturday and Sunday.
Strong performances were recorded by seniors Katie and Emily Woodford (Oxford, Oxford Academy). Katie Woodford set a personal record in the 400-meter prelims notching the second-best time in program history and sixth-best all-time in the Ivy League recording a 54.21. Woodford came back on Sunday for the finals running a 54.51 to place fifth.
Twin sister Emily Woodford topped her personal record in the 500 meters by two full seconds to move to third all-time at Cornell. Emily Woodford ran a 1:13.24 in the prelims, and returned for the finals on Sunday completing the 500 in 1:14.05 for sixth place.
