Authorities: Bainbridge man sexually assaulted a 12-year-old
BAINBRIDGE – Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on Monday for allegedly raping a 12-year-old female child.
32-year-old Christopher A. Jennings of Bainbridge was charged with the class B felonies of rape in the first degree and criminal sexual act in the first degree, the class D felony of sexual abuse in the first degree, and the class A misdemeanors of endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.
He was arrested on March 16 following an investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
Jennings was arraigned in the Village of Bainbridge Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 cash bail.
He is to reappear in court at a later date.
