Solar power tours in Guilford and Oxford this weekend
CHENANGO COUNTY – The first round of solar tours for Chenango County will take place this coming Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The owners of three homes located in the towns of Guilford and Oxford that have solar installations will open their homes to interested parties. Those wishing to attend the tours must register by Friday, April 10. Registration can be completed by sending an email to solartours2015@gmail.com.
This event is part of the Solarize Southern Tier East program that is underway with community meetings throughout the area. In addition to last week’s Morrisville State College, Norwich, gathering, upcoming meetings are scheduled for Greene, Oxford and Afton. Flyers with attached schedules of events are posted in stores and libraries around the area, and can also be found by visiting southerntiersolarworks.org.
