A Flood Warning is in effect until Saturday for the Chenango River at Sherburne. The river is forecast to go just above flood stage this afternoon and fall back below flood stage by tomorrow. This will be routine spring flooding of low-lying areas along the river banks.

At this point, it is expected other points along the Chenango River may run high but remain just below flood stage. The Susquehanna River and Unadilla Rivers are also expected to remain just below flood stage. The Otselic River is well below flood stage, and additional rain and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon.
