Bask in the beauty of nature during annual Earth Fest celebration at Rogers
SHERBURNE – Come an celebrate the wonder of nature at the Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne during its annual Earth Fest celebration this May.
The celebration is being hosted by Friends of Rogers and will be a fun-filled day packed with outdoor activities and presentations. The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. On Sunday, May 3.
“We’re excited to once again host this annual celebration, which we know our community looks forward to with great anticipation every year,” said Simon Solomon, Friends of Rogers Executive Director. “The engaging activities, interactive exhibits, and live music we have lined up will appeal to guests of all ages.”
New to this year's event, young visitors will have the opportunity to practice their angling skills with a catch and release demonstration.
In keeping with Earth Fest tradition, visitors can try canoeing and kayaking, make special nature crafts, and meet the friendly animals of the Ross Park Zoomobile. Colorscape Chenango and The Place will be part of the festivities along with tasty offerings from vendors such as FoJo Beans, and Mizrahi Granola.
Thanks to Cowboy Barbecue, Squeezers Lemonade & Kettle Korn, and Stewart’s Shops, delicious festival refreshments will be available for purchase.
“Earth Fest is the perfect opportunity to usher in a new season of outdoor adventures,” said Sarah Freedman, Friends of Rogers Environmental Educator. “Many visitors have shared they have a renewed sense of appreciation for nature by trying something during the celebration.”
Rogers Center is operated by Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers educational programs for all ages.
