April is "Distracted Driving Awareness Month" and in an effort to heighten awareness, the Chenango County Traffic Safety Board recently sponsored a poster contest challenging students from all over the county to design an awareness ad demonstrating the perils of distracted driving. Pictured holding their award certificates are contest winners Mara Wood (grade 6-12 winner, Unadilla Valley Central School) and Megan Lindridge (grade K-5 winner, Valley Heights Christian Academy), along with representatives of the Chenango County Traffic Safety Board. In addition to their certificate, Wood and Lindridge were also awarded $100.
