Norwich Family Care welcomes new FNP
NORWICH – Patients in the Norwich area with acute medical problems have had to go to the emergency room in the past even if they didn’t need the ER. That has now come to an end with the addition of Laura McDermott FNP to Norwich Family Care and Walk-In. She comes to the area from Sidney Bassett Clinic and the Southern Tier region and has several years experience with family practice. She will be treating all aspects of primary care, walk-in problems and will be accepting all major insurances.
Laura trained at Binghamton University and eventually obtained her doctorate in nurse practitioner. She provides services for acute and chronic medical care for adults and children. Her motto is “If you’re sick today, I'll see you today.” Laura has two children and has lived in upstate New York for the past 15 years.
