Woman accused of possessing heroin with intent to sell

NORWICH – A 27-year-old Plymouth woman sits at the county jail after Norwich Police said she was in possession of “a quantity” of heroin.
At 12:43 p.m., Sunday, May 31, 2015, the Norwich Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Birdsall Street in the City of Norwich.
Throughout the ensuing investigation, officers recovered both heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Hailey M. Lockwood was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.
The charges allege that Lockwood knowingly and unlawfully possessed a quantity of heroin with the intent to sell it.
Lockwood was arraigned in Norwich City Court following her arrest and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
Lockwood is to reappear in court at a later date.
