Norwich French Club travels to Montreal
NORWICH – Over Memorial Day break the Norwich High School French Club took a trip to Montreal to learn about French culture and to just have some much needed fun. The trip included 17 students and their French teacher Sarah Waters.
The students and their teacher left Saturday May 23 and returned on Monday May 25 and enjoyed the long weekend. The students got to tour many of the different sights and sounds of the second largest French speaking city in the world.
“I started planning this trip about two years ago,” said Waters. “I wanted to give the kids an opportunity to experience both the French culture and language first hand.”
Students spanning grades 7 through 12 all had the opportunity to go on the trip and was open to all students that were taking French classes. The students got to tour many of the different French sites in the city such as the Notre Dame De Maire Basilica.
