16 gauge shotgun recovered on Ross Avenue following incident, one arrested

NORWICH – Members of the Norwich Police Department were on the scene of a Ross Avenue residence on Thursday, after it was reported that there was a man armed with a weapon threatening another person. No one was injured and the situation ended swiftly.

The man arrested sits in the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 following his initial arraignment after the arrest.

According to the NPD, the call was received from the Chenango County 911 Center at approximately 12:14 p.m.

Officers responded to the scene quickly.

Not only were the on-duty officers on the scene, but the Narcotics Detective, a parole officer, K9 Officer Brandon Clarke, Detective-Sergeant Reuben Roach, and Police Chief Rodney Marsh were also spotted on Ross Avenue following the incident.
