Boy back home with mother after Amber Alert scare

OXFORD – A toddler is back home with his mother in the Village of Oxford after an Amber Alert issued on Friday had authorities scanning the area for his whereabouts.
An Amber Alert was sent out shortly shortly before 7 p.m. Friday. According to New York State Police, 18-month-old Henry Kellam was taken by his non-custodial father of the same name, 31-year-old Henry Kellam, around 6:35 p.m. on Thursday.
The Amber Alert, however, was canceled less than two hours later when authorities tracked down Kellam.
The father Kellam does have violent history and at the time of abduction, he is believed to have been armed with a handgun. Kellam was also a fugitive from Texas, and is alleged to have made threats to shoot police if he was approached.
