Meet and greet & fundraiser planned at the Silo for District Attorney Joseph McBride, Chemung County Sheriff to speak

GREENE – A meet and greet and fundraiser for Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride is set to be held at 5:30 p.m., July 9 at the Silo Restaurant in Greene.

Chemung County Sheriff and 2014 Lieutenant Governor candidate Chris Moss is slated to be at the event. Moss will speak and answer questions of those in attendance.

Moss spent 27 years in law enforcement, and spent many years as a Commander and Investigator with the Criminal Investigation Division. In 2005 he was elected as Chemung County’s Sheriff, and was re-elected in 2009 and 2013.

Additionally, Moss is the former President of the New York State Sheriff’s Association. He has been a forthright critic of the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act of 2013, commonly known as the NY SAFE Act.

Per a release regarding the event, “He (Moss) has also been a strong advocate for cleaning up corruption in government.”

“I’m honored to welcome Sheriff Moss back to Chenango County for our event,” said Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride. “He has been an ardent fighter for our second amendment rights and for all of upstate New York. I’m proud to stand with him to help him with this important work.”
