M-E rallies to beat Hellcats, 5-4

ENDWELL – Maine-Endwell rallied in the seventh inning Sunday to defeat the Hellcats for the second time in three days.
Kevin Barrett hit a walkoff two-run homer to left field to complete the M-E comeback.
The Hellcats established a 4-1 lead after three innings getting two runs apiece in the second and third frames. Cameron Heggie's two-run single in the second scored Joe DeVona and Kyle Crawford. One inning later, Paden Burlison's triple to left field plated Nate Scheer and DeVona to open the three-run cushion.
M-E inserted pitcher Jason Wasilnak in the third, and Wasilnak was nearly spotless in 4 2-3 innings of relief. He allowed just one hit and struck out nine to earn the victory.
The Hellcats play at Binghamton Post #1645 today at 6 p.m.
