Man airlifted to Upstate following Rexford Falls rescue
SHERBURNE – Firefighters and emergency personnel responded a report of accident at Rexford Falls just east of the village of Sherburne on Sunday.
According to authorities, an adult male whose identity was not made available was rescued from the ravine. Firefighters said the man fell into the ravine at approximately 10:45 a.m. Sunday and that Sherburne Fire and EMS responded to the scene.
First responders indicated that the man was alert at the time of the rescue.
According to Chenango County 911 dispatch records, that patient airlifted by Life Net to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Authorities said that the man was not in the falls near the walking bride but rather in the ravine near the intersection of State highway 80 and Rexford Falls Road.
