NEW BERLIN – The New Berlin Library is pleased to announce a number of performing artist to the 2015 Jean and Ruso Perkins Memorial Performance Series held in the community room of the downtown New Berlin facility.
On Wednesday, July 15 the series welcomes multi talented artist Glen Roethel to the community room beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Roethel is a New York based, California born contemporary folk-pop-rock singer-songwriter-entertainer, producer, graphic designer, and above all a guitar-player’s guitarist. Hailing from Tuckahoe, N.Y., Roethel has appeared on numerous compilations and recordings by other notable artists as well.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring a little bit of entertainment into downtown New Berlin, and the Perkins series is a great way for community members to come together,” said Library Director Darlene LaBrie.
The Perkins Memorial series, funded by Don Perkins and Andrea Miller – children of the late Jean and Ruso – will run weekly with classical guitarist Peter Fletcher appearing on July 29; all-ages magician Ryan Bliss on August 5 and Pittsfield's very own Dirt Road Express on August 19.
