Greater Norwich Golf Hall of Fame inducts new class

PLYMOUTH – The Greater Norwich Golf Hall of Fame inducted Barbara Annesi, Tim Mirabito, and Tony Annesi into its 2015 class, Friday, July 10 at Canasawacta Country Club.

Tony Annesi and Barbara Annesi were inducted posthumously, while Mirabito was selected in the players' category.

Tony Annesi began his affiliation with golf at a young age working as a caddy at C.C.C. with the likes of his brother Dusty, Jim and Joe Rotundo, Frank Mirabito, Honk Mirabito, and Ang Muserilli – all members of the GNGHOF.

Annesi played on the Norwich golf team from 1934-1937, and was captain of the undefeated '37 team. He was a member of C.C.C. from 1945-1986 winning the men's member-guest championship in 1975,

Annesi played in the era of legends Dusty Annesi, Stig Biviano, and Frank Mirabito, and was considered by them to be as good a player or better.
