In a joint arrest, NPD officers arrest two men for drug possession

NORWICH – Two men, 20-year-old, Jared S. Quackenbush, and 19-year-old, Javonte R.P. Schwartz were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

At approximately 11:09 p.m. on Monday, the Norwich City Police Department detained two suspicious looking individuals who were loitering near the corner of North Broad Street and Fair. Sergeant Justin Carpenter and police officer John Wonka made the arrests in a joint effort.

Quackenbush of North Norwich, and Schwartz of Norwich, were found to have a large amount of heroin and “Crack” Cocaine on them at the time of the arrest, according to police.
