Bainbridge Streakers down Unatego in doubleheader

BAINBRIDGE - Wednesday, June, 22 the Bainbridge Streakers 15 U took on Unatego in a doubleheader matchup. Bainbridge took both games in a spectacular fashion.

In the first of the two games the Streakers won 7-2 in seven innings, recording 10 hits and only allowing one. Pitcher Alli Miller got the win as she struck out 13 Unatego batters and walked five in her complete game. Scoring early and often, Unatego couln’t seem to stop the Streakers offense. Bainbridge’s first run came in the first inning off of a groundout by Miller.

The Streakers didn’t score again until the third when they earned two runs. Kori Thornton drove in Zamira Caldwell for an RBI single for the first run. It wasn’t much longer when Kass Davy’s single brought Thornton home, making the game 3-0 in favor of Bainbridge. Thornton kept her day going as she got two more hits during the game, making a total of three for the day.

Bainbridge kept pouring on the runs in the fourth inning as they drove in four to increase their lead to 7-0. Caldwell drove in another run in the fourth giving her multiple RBI’s for the day.
