Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship comes to New Berlin’s Motocross Park

NEW BERLIN - This weekend the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will come to New Berlin in their annual stop at the Unadilla Motocross Park. Riders from across the nation will compete for first place in a variety of events.

On Saturday August, 8 riders will begin to compete in the two championship series throughout the weekend. Riders will race in the 450 Class, or the Premier Class, and the 250 Class. Riders from all over the world will come to compete on the storied track. In addition to the international riders and riders from across the country, there will be many local competitors who will race this coming weekend. Monroe native Justin Barcia has emerged as the breakout rider of the 2015 season. Barcia has competed in events all across the country in the 450 Class, winning at Budds Creek in Maryland, which also signified just the third ever win for the Joe Gibbs Racing Motocross (JGRMX), the team that Barcia recently joined, and at RedBud in Michigan.

“New York is a special place for me,” said Justin Barcia. “I’ve competed at Unadilla at least ten different times. It really is a fun place. The fans are always really awesome and energetic.”
