Oxford Fire Department awarded federal grant to upgrade equipment

OXFORD – The Village of Oxford Fire Department will be able to upgrade some of its equipment thanks to a recent round of federal grant funds.

United States Congressman Richard Hanna announced Wednesday that the Oxford Fire Department is slated to receive $23,800 through the federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program, an initiative administered by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with the U.S. Fire Administration.
