Newton’s Reconditioning takes first place in the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club

SOUTH NEW BERLIN – After the week of August 19, previous number one Kelly's flowers dropped to third on the leader board of the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club. Last week's fourth place team, Newton's Reconditioning has jumped from fourth to first with a record of 41 and 23. The new second and third are Rustic Ridge Winery with a record of 41 and 23 followed by last week's number one Kelly's Flowers with a record of 38.5 and 21.5.
With teams so close together at the top and only two weeks to go, its still anybody's game. The teams in the top five are all only separated by a few games each with make up games still left to play. The rest of the field is very close as well with multiple teams within just a few games of each other.
George Harageones earned the top single game for the men with scores of 84 and 82; and it was Dale Lund who threw the high series with a 237 beating out the next man by only five points.
For the ladies it was Cindy Miller who captured both top single game and top series, tossing a 74, 70, and 69 for single games and a 213 for the high series.
After many close series, Newtons took both the top individual game score with a 225 and 217. It was Webster Paving who took the top team score with a 655 beating out the new number one by only five points.
