CONKLIN – A Binghamton and was arrested and jailed on felony charges on Wednesday following and investigation my New York State Troopers after a complaint of animal cruelty had been reported to authorities.

According to State Police, Patrick Burton, 44, of Binghamton, has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, following an incident that occurred in the Town of Conklin on Sept. 8.

After receiving the Broome County 911 call, troopers met a homeowner who advised that Jack – the family dog – had been severely beaten while the owner was not home.
