BAINBRIDGE - In a home game last night, Tuesday, September, 22, the Bainbridge-Guilford boys' varsity soccer team hosted Walton and came away with the win 1-0.

The winning goal was scored by Daniel Norris with just over seven minutes left in the first half. B-G's offense is what won them the game, out-shooting their opponents 11 to five.

On defense Bobcat's goal keeper Shawn Jones registered five saves on the night; successfully defending every shot that Walton would fire at him.

With this win Bainbridge-Guilford improves to 4-4 overall on the season. They will play again tomorrow, Thursday, September, 24, when they travel to Unatego.

Sherburne-Earlville


SHERBURNE - The Sherburne-Earlville girls' varsity soccer team would travel to Canastota last night, Tuesday, September, 22, and win 3-2 in a come-from-behind victory over their opponents.

Down 1-0 going into the second half the Marauders had their work cut out for them. Rattling off three goals to win were Taylor Coughlin, Lexi Elderkin, and Savannah Irwin. The three girls' goals were enough to keep Canastota's own offense at bay, after another Canastota score, and win the match 3-2.

The Marauder girls will play again this Friday, September, 25, when they take on VVS.
