CCSO arrest two in yet another meth related incident

SHERBURNE – Two men sit in the county jail after being accused of not only making meth, but also illegally dumping one-pot meth bottles.

On Oct. 3, 2015, Chenango County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John W. Quinn Sr., 52, and Ian W. Quinn, 29, both from Sherburne following an illegal dumping complaint in the Town of Sherburne.

Deputy Lawrence and Sgt. Ellingsen were the arresting officers on the matter.

Both individuals were arrested for unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the third degree, a class D felony; unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory, a class E felony; and criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, a class E felony.

Upon arrival, deputies said they observed a common item used to manufacture methamphetamine, a one-pot method bottle in the garbage bag.

Deputy Lawrence requested Sgt. Ellingsen and the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT), to the scene at this time.

There was also information within the bag that lead the officers and the investigation to a residence a few miles away, still within the Town of Sherburne.
