NORWICH – Shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday, at least two area fire departments responded to a mutual aid request from Chenango County 911 dispatch to a reported structure fire at 131 Valley View Park – B.J. Jackson's Mobile Home Park – just north of the City of Norwich line.

Upon arrival to the scene, Norwich units noted heavy visible smoke bellowing from the home, and entered the structure to determine occupancy and plan of action.

No occupants were found in the home.

The City of Norwich Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the North Norwich Volunteer Fire Company.
