SIDNEY - On Tuesday, October 20, the Greene girls varsity volleyball team traveled to Sidney to take on the Warriors in the first round of the MAC Tournament. Greene would go on to win the match 3-2.
The first two sets were very competitive for the two teams, with each team winning one of the first two. Sidney won the first set 26-24, then lost the next by the same score. The match would go back and forth for the next two sets, with each team winning a game. It all came down to the final set where Greene would pull away and win 26-24, ending the match.
Greene plays again next tomorrow, Thursday, October 22, in the next round of the MAC Tournament.

Bainbridge-Guilford
BAINBRIDGE - In the first round of the MAC Tournament on Tuesday, October 20, Bainbridge-Guilford’s girls varsity volleyball team hosted Delhi in a match that they would win in three straight sets.
B-G dominated all aspects of the court in all three sets, winning 25-14, 25-19, and 25-10. For B-G it was Erica Selfridge who helped pave the way for the win, earning 28 assists on the day.
B-G will move on in the tournament and will play again on Friday, October 23, against Harpursville/Afton in the next round of the MAC Tournament.

SHERBURNE - Hosting Windsor on Monday, October 19, the Sherburne-Earlville girls varsity swim team lost by a score of 95-82.
S-E would only win three of the 12 events, but would place in almost all of them. S-E won the 400 Freestyle Relay with the team of Elizabeth Bachman, Anna Rinaldo, Kiana Marshall, and Molly Bachman. Elizabeth Bachman and Marshall would go on to win other events as well.
The Marauder women will compete again on Saturday, October 24, when they travel to Clayton, Ny. to compete at Thousand Islands High School.
