Happy 240th birthday to the US Marine Corps

NEWBURGH – Today marks the 240th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. On Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, former Norwich City Police Chief and Sergeant Major (ret) Joseph Angelino was invited as the Guest of Honor and the Keynote speaker at the MALS-49 celebration of the 240th anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps. The event was held in Newburgh, NY. Seated in front (L to R) SgtMajor Barry Frain, Joseph Angelino, SgtMajor [ret], Commanding Officer Col. Brian McGonagle. Behind are some of the 300 Marines who listened to SgtMajor Angelino speak about the significance of being a US Marine at this point in history.
