Norwich Varsity Cheerleaders honored at end-of-season banquet, team takes third in competitions

NORWICH – The Norwich Varsity Football Cheerleaders recently held its end-of-season banquet.  Eighteen cheerleaders were honored for their dedication to the cheerleading program, football team and their school.  The team cheered at nine varsity football games, and competed in two cheerleading competitions – taking third place at both events.  Pictured are the award winners from their season.  Jasmine Pittsley (Most Improved), Aislinn Smith (Coach’s Award), Coach Marie DeSarro, Jordan Murphy (Coach’s Award), Summer Budd (Most Valuable) and Aidan Pittsley (Most Improved).  The cheerleading team and booster club would like to thank Dave Shull and the staff from Nina’s Pizzeria & Restaurant for catering their banquet, Lisa Fitch for her amazing desserts and Rhett Genung for his audio-visual help.  The group would also like to thank all of the individuals, businesses and organizations that supported and donated to the program this season.
