Chenango County football players named to Section Four Division All-Star teams
CHENANGO COUNTY - Recently over thirty area high school football players were named to their respective division All-Star teams or received honorable mention. These athletes were given the honor based on their outstanding play throughout the season.
In Division III, four Norwich players were selected as First Team All-Division, and had two players earn honorable mention. Norwich’s Cameron Edwards, Jamison Luke, Cole Brightman, and Thomas Reilly were all selected for the first team for Division III. Norwich’s honorable mention included, Cole Rifanburg and Matt Parrella.
Five Greene players were selected for the first team for Division IV as well as earning two honorable mentions. Greene’s Luke Erickson, John Harlec, Dalton Bower, Kyle Nowalk, and Zach Orzell were all selected as First Team All-Division this season. Seniors Lucian Austin and Joe Phillips also earned honorable mention for their outstanding play.
For Division VI six Unadilla Valley players and four Bainbridge-Guilford players were selected as First Team All-Division. UV’s Ryan Postma, Mason Fernette, Matt Turner, Hunter Christian, Nick Stirone, and Brett Hanslmeier were all selected as first team, while Jared White and Nick Stirone were given honorable mention honors. For B-G, Austin Carr, Dylan Mondore, Zach Ouimet, and Brandon Sickler were selected as first team. Tyler Hart and Wyatt Mosher of B-G were selected for honorable mention for Division VI as well.
In Division VII, Oxford’s Nick Neer, Xavier Cruz, Garett Sylstra, Jon Heggie, and Trent Lyons were all selected as First Team All-Division. Oxford’s Jake Ingraham, Phil Smith, and Corey Marshman were all selected for honorable mention in Division VII as well.
