Two men arrested following multi-state burglary spree

NORWICH – Last Friday, on Dec. 11, 2015 at approximately 11 a.m. the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men said to be responsible for committing multiple burglaries in Chenango County.

Nicholas N. Neer, 28, of the Town of Port Crane and William M. Polhamus, 27, of the Town of Greene, have both been deemed the alleged burglars.

Along with the local burglaries, the two men allegedly have committed multiple other burglaries throughout the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania area.

The number of burglaries committed is estimated to be over 10, however, the investigation is still ongoing.

Both men are being held responsible for committing two burglaries in the Town of Greene as well as another burglary in the Town of Oxford.
