NORWICH—While mainstream media remains focused on big names like Trump and Clinton, it comes as no surprise that the policies and visions Democratic presidential nominee Bernie Sanders have remained largely unknown to many people in Chenango County, and across much of the U.S.

In an effort to eliminate a negative stigma and to further educate their neighbors and friends, a locally grown grassroots group has recently taken root to bring the power of knowledge to the masses.

The group known as “Chenango for Bernie” is organizing a screening of a Bernie Sanders event held at Georgetown University earlier in 2015.

This Saturday, the group invites any community members regardless of political affiliation to come and engage with neighbors and share the truth behind Mr. Sanders' somewhat contested ideology.
