Norwich rights some wrongs with another duel meet win
NORWICH – Tuesday night Norwich played host to the Chenango Valley Warriors in what would prove to be another duel meet win on the year moving them to an impressive 12-2 record on the year.
Despite opening the night up by giving up a pin fall at the 120-pound weight class, Norwich would subsequently win the following four matches putting them 21 to 6 as a team early on.
The Tornado would not hold the lead long as the Warriors would scratch their way back into the match to take the lead 33- 24. As the duel meet moved 285-weight class and then the 99-weight class, Norwich would receive a forfeit at both weights respectively.
Moving into the final two must win matches of the night Norwich led CV 36 to 33. However, the lightweights for Norwich did not disappoint, as Norwich’s Mike Squires at 106-pounds and Nick Glanville 113-pounds rounded out the night with back-to-back wins.
