One-vehicle MVC on Thursday

OXFORD – On Thursday, members of Oxford Fire, New York State Troopers, and the Town of Oxford DPW were called to a one-vehicle MVC with reported injuries on Bradley Hill Road, approximately one mile south of the Village of Oxford.
The driver of a green Ford Explorer lost control of the vehicle, crossing the center line and exiting the left shoulder of the roadway before making contact with a stone wall and overturning into a culvert at 485 Bradley Hill.
The male driver extricated himself from the vehicle and was assisted by a nearby homeowner until EMT personnel from the City of Norwich Fire Department could arrive. The man was transported to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained from the impact.
While no tickets were issued by Troopers, neighbors and those familiar with the area indicated that motorists routinely travel the steep incline on Bradley Hill at unsafe speeds.
