Fire destroys home in Greene

GREENE – A Greene home was deemed a total loss following a devastating fire Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to a house fire at 900 Jackson Hill Road in the Town of Greene shortly before 1:30 p.m.
According to the Greene Fire Department, the owner of the single-family ranch home was able to get out without serious injuries.
The Greene Fire Department was assisted by fire departments from Chenango Forks, Port Crane, Smithville, Coventry, and Brisben.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
