NORWICH – Representatives from New York Central Mutual Insurance Company of New Berlin recently presented the Chenango SPCA with a check for more than $2,300 in addition to a large donations of cleaning supplies for use in the operation of the Chenango County shelter.

The Chenango SPCA will host its 12th Annual Valentine Fur Ball this upcoming Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich.

The 'Kentucky Derby' themed event will encourage participants to dress in Derby attire while enjoying gourmet fare and the sounds of the TC Horn Band as well as local favorite The Bruce Beadle Band. The event begins at 7 p.m., continuing until 11 p.m.; and ticket prices are $65 per person or $110 for couples, available by contacting the CSPCA at 337-9724.
