NORWICH – Shortly after 4 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, members of the Norwich Fire Department and the Norwich Police Department responded to a call of a one-vehicle MVC at Court and Henry streets on the city's west side.

According to county dispatch records, a caller indicated that a blue pickup truck with two adult occupants had struck a utility pole.

Those first to the scene found that the vehicle had left the roadway and sheared a utility pole from its base, causing the top section of the pole to be moved nearly six feet.
